The Renault Twizy is a small electric car which was revealed at the Paris Auto Show recently. This is a car that will go into production in 2011 and you can already pre-order it from the french car manufacturer. The price will be similar to that of the Piaggio MP3 with the battery pack rental charges being included in the payment of the Twizy.

The Renault Twizy will come in two versions. The first one will have 9 HP with a maximum speed of 28 miles per hour. The second one will have 20 HP and a maximum speed of 47 miles per hour. Charging the Twizy for three and a half hours will bring you a range of 60 miles.

While it was already launched in Moscow earlier this year, the 2011 Renault Latitude in its European version was also launched at the Paris Auto Show these days. The Renault Latitude will be the flagship of the Renault line-up and it’s a business class car.

The version which will be launched in Russia will come with two engines. One is a 2.0L V4 with 139HP and the other is a 2.5L V6 with 177HP. There will be more engines available for the Renault Latitude as it’s launched in more countries.

The interior of the Renault Latitude shows the focus on comfort. The seat of the driver for example, comes with a function for massaging, which has four settings and five pneumatic rollers. The system for climate control can be adjusted for three different zones.

The next generation of Renault Megane break is the Grand Tour, and it will be launched at the Geneva Auto Show, on March 3rd and 4th. Until then, here are a few spy photos, that show us the car during a filming session for an ad, taking place in Lisbon.

While the frontal part remains the same, the back has a special look, like the longer shape of the lights and the voluptuous forms. The technical part remains unchanged from the regular Megane.

Renault will give up their plans to research and develop hybrid and hydrogen technologies, in favor of electrical cars.

The new investments have been confirmed by Patrick Paleta, operational director of Renault. His vision of the next production line includes a series of electrical models. He also mentioned that by the end of 2011, Renault will have three such models in their line-up: Renault Kangoo, Renault Clio hatchback with five seats and the last one will be a sedan.

Each of the three models will have NEC Li-Ion batteries, developed together with Nissan, which allow for an autonomy of 160km (100 miles).

Renault launched a personalization program for the second generation of the Renault Twingo. The entire package for the Twingo 2 includes 17 inch alloy wheels, a new evacuation system and numerous elements for the interior.

During the Paris PTS Show, Renault presented two Twingo models, on the Angel and Demon themes, designed to show the potential of the new Renault program.

Renault is going to interrupt the production of Renault Espace, the decision taking place because they found out that the replacement model wasn’t modern enough.

Apparently the project they had in mind wasn’t viable and they’re trying to think what will people want in 2013.

The French manufacturer presented recently the first photos and information on the facelift version of the third generation of Renault Clio. This version will be launched at the Geneva Auto Show.

What is surprising about the photos showed by Renault is that they show the GT version of the new Clio, so we will see how the regular version looks when it’s launched at Geneva.

The modifications in design for the new Clio align the model with the new design philosophy that we can already see on the new Megane and Laguna.
